Classification Changes with Extended Badges (C0 to C1)
Drones weighing under 249 g usually fall under the C0 classification. But what happens if you use a larger battery for extended flight time? Your drone shifts to class C1 – and this change must be clearly communicated on the aircraft! With our extended battery badge, which you simply attach to the battery, you remain fully compliant even after battery upgrades.
Important: Remote Pilot ID is Not the eID!
Please note during ordering that your eID (UAS Operator ID) is required for this product – not the Remote Pilot ID from your EASA certificate (which usually contains "-RP-").
You can find your eID in the online portal of your aviation authority (e.g., LBA in Germany, Austro Control in Austria, RDW in the Netherlands, or your local authority).
Example for Entering Your eID:
In official portals, your eID often appears in a format like DEU123abc456def-123. The last 3 digits after the hyphen (-123) act as a PIN and do not belong on the badge. Please enter only the main prefix in the order form (e.g., DEU123abc456def).
